Nonetheless, despite of all these negative effects. The media may also be very useful in our day to day living if it is being use responsibly. The media may in fact lead one to growth. It may help us widen one’s knowledge and perspective. Moreover, the new decree entitled: The Priest and the Pastoral Ministry in a Digital World: New Media at the service of the Word being delivered by Pope Benedict XVI states that the media is in fact very useful in proclaiming the word of God to every corner of the world. The mass media aid our priest in their ministry. Everyone thirst for the word of God. Thus, by utilizing the media  our ministers will be able to reach out every people in every nation. Through the media one will share God’s goodness by proclaiming the gospel throughout the whole world. The media being used responsibly is actually a means towards holiness. The people in turn should respond wholeheartedly to the word of God.The media is a new means to proclaim Gods word as the Pope Benedict XVI says: through the media Priest can discover new possibilities for carrying out their ministry to and for the Word of God. Provided that the cinema will be utilized properly then its importance and role in one’s life will be deeply appreciated. Social communications give rise to the cinema for our development in particular the development of the young generation. The decree also mentions the vital importance of spiritual and religious values as a very essential aspect in one’s life. It is very useful tool in developing my relationship with God as I also grow in my faith. The world of cinema should not be dealt and regarded as a form of businesses only.
