It has been reported that privacy and piracy actually defends on one’s perspective. This means that one should be capable of drawing the lines between what is public and private. In this report we are presented on the different factors wherein one can claim that one’s privacy is already being invaded by different companies etc. The different factors are: Dumping, monitoring, selling information and infecting. In the internet one’s email ad is quasi public. Thus, because of this one can have an easy access to reach us. some may even use our identity. There are some instances that even credit card are being stolen through the use of identity theft. People find themselves helpless. Nonetheless, this report emphasizes the importance of awareness on the different factors of media.

As one came across the influence of media through sports we go now to a more serious effects that one may get through the use of media. Media violence is a reality that is rampant nowadays. One is in one way or another is affected by it. Moreover, one should not have the mentality that the children is the only vulnerable person to the effects of media. This technologically infested generation simply presents to us that all person are vulnerable to media violence. Thus, this report presents to us the different aspect of media violence. Media offers us a reality that is just partial. It is sometimes being edited just to portray a stronger or more convincing phenomenon. It targets our emotion. Thus, one should be able to analyze the media critically. One should exhaust all the possible means that may verify the reality. It is very important to know the structures that is being used by the media. It is our tool in knowing the truth. The true event that takes place in the society. A crime that is being reported by the media for instance are just partial. One should analyze it critically before believing. Moreover, the media at times is bias; it only presents what it thinks to be more effective in gaining a profit. The world of media actually works for the sake of profit. It is a sort of business. Thus, the real world-knowledge is our tool in our search for what is truth. One should then be cautious enough to what the media offers.

Obviously the effects of media in one’s lives are greatly felt. It widens world to the point that one can no longer handle it. People nowadays confuse what they need from what they really need. Thus, this is because of the media. Media directs one into wanting a multiple cars,stereo etc. The influence of media makes our lifestyle very tiring. Media directs our attention to something we do not really need. Its affects in the family and various institution in the society is now so rampant. Some people are force to work for hours just to provide their families their necessities that media is portraying in the advertisements etc. Media will tell us what we need. Thus, in order to combat such reality one should be aware on how the media as whole works. What is its effects etc.

In this media-saturated generation one seems to be so confused. The impact and influences of media is widely felt in the whole world. Some say media is evil because of its various negative effects specially to the young. Because of media one has been losing its identity. At times it leaves us feeling frustrated and depressed. The effects of media even leads many young to perdition in the sense that irresponsible use of it may be very destructive.

Nonetheless, despite of all these negative effects. The media may also be very useful in our day to day living if it is being use responsibly. The media may in fact lead one to growth. It may help us widen one’s knowledge and perspective. Moreover, the new decree entitled: The Priest and the Pastoral Ministry in a Digital World: New Media at the service of the Word being delivered by Pope Benedict XVI states that the media is in fact very useful in proclaiming the word of God to every corner of the world. The mass media aid our priest in their ministry. Everyone thirst for the word of God. Thus, by utilizing the media our ministers will be able to reach out every people in every nation. Through the media one will share God’s goodness by proclaiming the gospel throughout the whole world. The media being used responsibly is actually a means towards holiness. The people in turn should respond wholeheartedly to the word of God.The media is a new means to proclaim Gods word as the Pope Benedict XVI says: through the media Priest can discover new possibilities for carrying out their ministry to and for the Word of God. Moreover, attach to it comes a much more greater responsibility. ” The increased availability of the new technologies demands greater responsibility on the part of those called to proclaim the Word, but it also requires them to become more focused, efficient and compelling in their efforts . . . Putting the media ever more effectively at the service of the Word.” Thus, all of which connotes the importance of the role played by the media and the responsibility of God’s minister in proclaiming the Word of God.
